I LOOOOOVE my Creta Girl 1/2 wig!

For $22.99, I get not just one style- but two:

Yes. I wore my Creta Girl wig as a chic high bun updo in Miami this last weekend and she was fab. The bun is easy to accomplish with an old or new Creta girl wig, and looks oh so natural.

I did a YouTube video tutorial on my channel- NapturalNicole,  but here are some pics and deets for those that can’t watch a video at work (lol, you know who you are!).

To accomplish this look-

1. Part hair to leave 1.5 inches around the perimeter of the hair. This will be your leave out hair that will cover your half wig when you pull it up in a ponytail:

2. Braid the hair in the center of the hair straight back. If you can’t cornrow, flat twists or pinned down two strand twists will work too.

3. When your finished, your hair should be completely braided up, and you can begin to remove the hair around the perimeter (flat twisted in the pic above to keep it out of my face while I braided)

4. You’ll install the wig at the beginning of the cornrows, as you would any half wig, then pull the hair up into a very high ponytail. Once secure, pin the curls in the pony around until the form a bun. If needed, use a bit of gel, or homemade shea butter cream to smooth flyaway strands. You’re done!

SO EASY!

I highly recommend checking out the vid for step by step instructions.

Do you have a favorite 1/2 wig, do you try creative styles or always wear it down?

    • Hahahaha! Thank you SO much! I just love it too! It’s SO easy, so inexpensive, and SO classy! This can go from office to party with no touch up! It’s definitely in my protective style rotation forever! Thanks for always checking out the page! ;)

  1. This is really cute! I used to do my hair like this all the time, but I wouldn’t leave my hair out to cover the edges, I just slicked my hair into a ponytail and put the wig on, then I used a scarf to cover the edges of the wig so I didn’t have to leave my hair out.

    • That’s a GREAT tip Janelle- thank you. I know a lot of readers prefer a 100% hair coverage protective style- and your technique is perfect! Thanks for visiting, and come back soon!

  2. Hi,
I just fully joined team natural had all my relaxed ends cut off after about a year and some months of no weave (phew was hard seeing all that hair gone)
I came across your video(how to use the finger comber unit) and loved it. you take your time to explain and go over every step and that is really helpful for beginners.
I am a weave girl never wore wigs before but want to start to so I can get use to my own natural hair and be able to switch it up as easily as i like and you video is encouraging.
Could you kindly tell me where I can purchase this creta girl half wig from and any other wig suggestions you use. I would very much appreciate it. Thanks.

    • Welcome to TEAM NATURAL, Maki! We are happy to have you! Returning to your natural locks is a bold, brave, and beautiful decision- way to go!

Thank you for checking out the YouTube channel, and you’re right, the Creta Girl wig is dope! I love her! I purchased my wig at a local Beauty Supply store here in Baltimore- but you can get her for about the same price right on Amazon.com! Here’s the link:
