It’s the holiday season, and I have been on the go!
The lines have been crazy at the stores, so I’ve been heading out early to beat the crowds! I barely have time to grab my keys and hand sanitizer (a must!), let alone style my fro.
My quick go to look has been wigs- but occasionally, I just want the warmth and ease of a hat- no styling or blending of my natural hair. So what’s a girl to do?
Rock a Beanie, Man!
I take the exposed hair I typically leave out for blending my wigs (video tutorial on this next week!)- and spritz it with water, throw whatever oil is closest (today, it was olive), then do a few large two strand twists. I tucked those behind one ear, put on my satin sleep cap (over my wig prepped cornrows), popped on my Beanie cap and jetted out the door! Total time 5 minutes!
Simple and quick! Beanie caps are easy to find- plain ones are available at your local beauty supply for around $2. Or you can get funkier knit ones from Forever21 or WalMart for $5 or less! Just remember to use your satin sleep cap first! The wool/cotton from caps can strip your hair of moisture faster than you can say, “Holiday Sale!”
Happy Holiday, Curlies- and I’ll see ya in the new year!
