Natural Hair Style: “The Blow Out”
My name is Nicole, and I’m afraid of using heat.
That’d right. I’m terrified of heat damage, and as a rule, I don’t use heat on my beautiful natural curls….but….in celebration of this awesome break in the Maryland Humidity- I decided to do a gentle low heat blow out on my hair.
This is what I used:
-Denman Brush (for detangling)
– CHI silk infusion (heat protectant)
I used the tension method- I pulled my hair in small sections and while holding it taut and straight, used low heat from a moderate distance to blow dry it until it was ‘straight-ish.’
I did not use a flat iron- I wasn’t looking for silky straight strands, just bigger fuller hair. And I got it! I don’t love the way my ends ‘look’ frizzy, but I assure you they are silky soft and my hair is dense and big big big! I’ll post the YouTube video soon.
Side note: so *pumped* about my growth and volume! and the SHINE! I did a quick braid and snapped the last pic- amazingly shiny hair! It’s been 11 months since my big chop and my hair is better than EVER!
Happy Fro’in Curlies!
